Sterilize the 2 half-pint jars by covering with water and boil them for about 15 minutes. Soften gelatine in about 1 cup of apple juice. Take the other cup of apple juice and bring to a boil. Remove from the flame. Add this to the softened gelatine and then add lemon juice to it. Boil them heavily and cook for about 2 minutes. Remove from the flame and add food colouring and sweetener to taste. Pour them into sterile half-pint jars, seal and cool it. Refrigerate and serve the chilled mouth watering Apple jelly. This makes about 2 half-pints.
