Method of Preparation

Sieve flour, soda and keep aside. Boil the water, dates, apple and raisins. Simmer it for about 3 minutes and remove from flame. Add margarine and stir well. Cool the mixture and then add eggs, oatmeal, all the other dry ingredients, vanilla and nuts. Cover it and refrigerate it for overnight. Take into an equal sized portion and place it on a cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake it for about 24 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and refrigerate the contents in an air tight container and taste the crispy fruit cookies. (You may also add 1 tsp cinnamon to dry ingredients if desired)
